Hello. The 911 dispatch simulator has been set up. I had my law I kids check it out. I didn’t give them any instructions because I wanted to see if they could do it on their own. And they could! They often used it during free time and had a blast. I plan to use this during my dispatch lesson with intro to law as well as with law II when we go over responding to calls. Overall, I am very happy with how user friendly it is. It also does a great job of showing how a real dispatch system works. I plan to take some pictures next school year to post on our schools social media page to showcase this new system.

A Great Collaboration
“Good afternoon. I’m Dr. Todd Radford here at the Public Safety Training Center in Kyle, Texas, part of the Austin Community College District. We’re so excited to be partnering with 9-1-1 Trainer and being able to start our 9-1-1 telecommunications program. In the Central Texas area, there’s only one other program of this type, so we’re really looking forward to venturing off into this arena.
This profession of Telecommunications has now in Texas become licensed, and so not only are we looking to train personnel getting into telecommunications, telecommunications, 911 centers, but also the incumbent personnel that are there because they’re going to need continuing education now to meet their hours. So we’re very fortunate to have this partnership.
We’re looking forward to using this great tool and this simulator to expose people to the real life circumstances they’re going to be facing. in addition to the academic background as supported by the textbook, the 911 Emergency Communications Manual, and the training that all of our instructors have received from this company. So we’re really looking forward to it, and we appreciate the partnership.”
